How do I get rid of a cold?

I've had this cold since Thursday and it's really annoying me. I have like no energy (I'm like a typing zombie), my head is all congested, my nose is stuffed and I have a bad cough. I've been drinking water and taking medicine and using Afrin at night to clear my nose but nothing's working...Is there anything I can do other than wait it out?
