I had an ultrasound yesterday....(30WEEKS)? DIALATING QUESTION?

So i had my ultrasound just yesterday and she said my cervix is 3cm, does that mean i can go in preterm labour? (sorry i had to rephrase the question this is my first pregnancy and is just what she told me)
