Interracial, intercultural, and interreligious relationship...?

My boyfriend is hispanic who's family is from Mexico, and is also catholic. I'm white, but not really religious, more spiritual. What are the do's and don't's of catholicism when it comes to dating, maybe even marrying someone outside of their religion? I would like to understand his culture and his religion more, although we already accept each others beliefs and backgrounds.
