How do you sharpen your hunting knife?
Patience is a virtue..get a wet stone with med. & fine grit. Or a small diamond wet stone. You can get either in a small pocket size. While you are quartering and skinning your elk pay attention to the blade and just touch it up as needed. Pay attention to the existing angle and follow it. If you go to a real hardware store, not home depot, you can find the wet stones. I picked up my diamond wet stone at a local hardware store many years ago and it wasn't expensive. You don't have to be fancy here..If you want good results and your knifes to last you do have to take care and be patient with them.
