My guitar hero game is messing up! I don't know if it's the guitar or my wii... Help?

As well as doing the calibration, if the TV you're playing on now has "Game mode" settings, use those. It turns off some of the lag that the TV itself can add to showing the picture and make it work closer to the way you expect.
