I was approached by a business man who works with my father and has a son my age who attends my high school. None of us are well off and we certainly are very interested in scholarships for college. We check our scholarship board once a month to see what is open and tend to find that we can only apply for a small percentage of them cause they are solely for another group "asian" "african american" etc. He is proposing a scholarship for whites in which you have to read the fountainhead and write a paper on this and he will select the best one (i believe it has to be about how it can apply to real world not sure though) and the winning one gets $2000. I will start from the beginning.. my last real period was feb 21-28. then March 16-17 had brown discharge which was about 5 days before my missed period. NEVER GOT RED PERIOD! Should Michael Bay take a lesson from James Cameron in making action films with depth?

Whenever James Cameron makes action films it seems like he is always able to weave an emotional story of tragedy into the script that makes the viewers cry and cheer at the same time, whereas when Michael Bay makes an action film all that seems to matter is having the volume up extra loud for all the carnage scenes whereas the characters never express enough meaningful emotion to make the viewers care what happens to them. So it's a bunch of wild cheering throughout for ever explosion or gunshot. I think that says something about the quality of the acting or lack of it. Cameron seems to do a better job than Bay of getting the most out of his acting staff. Still, both of them are now known for their films being huge money makers! Among them are "Titanic" and "Aliens" for Cameron and "Bad Boys II" and "Transformers" for Michael Bay. I also notice Cameron's films feature female heroines or resourceful women: Kate Winslet (Titanic), Sigourney Weaver (Aliens), and Linda Hamilton (The Terminator) whereas with Michael Bay most of the attention was almost exclusively centered on the male characters (Shia LeBeouf - Transformers & Will Smith/Martin Lawrence - Bad Boys II) with the women being there merely for appeal rather than doing some of the emotional (or physical) heavy lifting in furthering the story.

I, honestly, loved this poem. I normally expect poems on Answers to suck but... Yours surprised me. I really liked the first book, the magicians nephew the best out of the whole series. I was exactly the same as you when I was a child, i'd get lost in different worlds with my imagination. I think growing up you do loose that innocence and it does make it harder to go back to those days of day dreaming. But that is a part of life and everyone grows up. Even great authors like J. K Rowling and C. S Lewis grew up but they always had that pion to write. I don't get much time to get lost in my imagination much anymore (I'm 25), but I always make time for a favorite book (Eragon, Eldest, Chronicles of Narnia). Anything Fantasy! I just hand wash mine in the sink with a drop of laundry detergent. It's hard to get the chamois clean in the washing machine, it's like trying to wash a sponge. If I am in a hurry I put them in the drier with the setting on medium heat. If I had several pairs I would just hang them up to dry. I wash mine after every other ride.

Don't worry, I have bipolar disorder too. One thing that really helps, as in really helps, is to have a friend(that you completely trust) where you confide EVERYTHING to, and I do mean EVERYTHING. It really comforts you to know that you have someone to talk to, and have a shoulder to lean on. Also, whenever you're feeling down, take a shower. It really helps to cool your emotions down and let yourself do some rational thinking, you will feel loads better after it. And sometimes, you could just sing, where no one listens, I do it cause I enjoy it, but it isn't really necessary. Clicking hard drive due to power supply?

I have an Asrock P4i48 motherboard with 1 Seagate 250 GB hard drive, 768 MB ram, 256 MB EVGA video card, Pentium 4 2.80 Ghz cpu 800 Mhz bus, Hercules 400 watt pwr supply, 1 dvd rom, 1 dvd-rw. Recently I have been having issues with clicking hard drives that will freeze up and give me the blue screen of death in win xp. I have used ide and sata but both seem to have issues. I have noticed also the light on my mouse and the num key light on the keyboard will flicker. I have lowered the speed of my cpu to 1.6 Ghz and it seems to get rid of the clicking. Could the pwr supply be going out? Thanks.

While you are quartering and skinning your elk pay attention to the blade and just touch it up as needed. Pay attention to the existing angle and follow it. If you go to a real hardware store, not home depot, you can find the wet stones. I picked up my diamond wet stone at a local hardware store many years ago and it wasn't expensive. You don't have to be fancy here..If you want good results and your knifes to last you do have to take care and be patient with them.

Fighting for his attention!?

For the last couple months my husband has really changed, he focuses all of his free time researching and working of his truck, he has stopped caring about the things at home that he used to care about such as his other hobbies and responsibilities. When I try to talk to him its like he is in a fog and isn't really listening to anything I say. His total focus is his o.c.d. like behavior about his truck! And when you do get his attention,he always has the "what have you done for me" attitude. When he does talk if I try to add my 2 cents into a conversation before he is finished speaking he will fly off the handle and scream at me to let him finish what he is saying first. I basically shut down at that point because I don't intend to make him upset. When if ever we do go out to dinner as a family or with others, I will show affection by placing my hand upon his knee or lean into him, but he does not acknowledge me at all. He will even go as far as saying something criticizing or rude to me, and I become so embarred I again just shut down and say nothing. His mood swings have become very irrational and when I mention anything about it he just ignores me. We have a 5 year old daughter that has really become daddy's little girl, and refuses to listen to me anymore without first consulting her father. He will undermine me when I try to discipline our children and in doing so I have lost all control of our two younger children. I have managed to get him to sit down with me for a few minutes and explained that we don't seem to have anything in common anymore and I miss him. I really want to try to find our way back to communication. He is not a bad person, as a matter of fact he really is a tender heart person, but he just really seems to be lacking in the department of empathy. I get so jealous of all our friends that are in relationships because their spouses seem to be in tune with them, they show affection, go out of their ways to do even the smallest things for them, and are romantic in some way or another. What's even worse is when I try to brag about my husband to my friends its along the lines, as he is a good dad, a good provider, I know he loves me...that is it! I know I shouldn't complain because when I think about it he is a good husband and dad, he does do a lot of house chores, cooks dinner, and helps see that our children off to school...among a list of other things. I am just not sure how to approach subjects anymore and I would like to find something we can talk about without it only being a 2 min. conversation. I know all these problems are not all him, that I have much to do with it as well, I just need to find my way back to good communication and a good husband & wife, and parenting relationship with my spouse.
